Olá!!!!!!

Sorria, você está na Bahia!!! Estamos em Salvador, capital da Bahia!!!
Nossos dias em Salvador foram poucos, porém deliciosos. Chegamos aqui na terça feira à tarde, após passarmos a manhã na Praia do Forte, onde visitamos o Projeto TAMAR e passeamos em sua charmosa vila.
À noite jantamos no Mc Donalds, o que foi muito comemorado pelos intercambistas!
Ontem tivemos um dia dedicado à linda capital baiana. Fizemos um tour histórico pelos pontos turísticos mais importantes, como Igreja de Nosso Senhor do Bonfim, Mercado Modelo, Elevador Lacerda, Igreja São Francisco de Assis e o Centro Histórico do Pelourinho. À noite, os estudantes vibraram com o espetáculo do Balé Folclórico da Bahia (www.balefolcloricodabahia.com.br), considerado por eles um dos melhores programas culturais de toda a viagem.
Hoje partimos para Porto Seguro, cidade das festas e diversão, de onde enviarei mais notícias.

Good Morning!!!

SMILE, you are in Bahia!!! Here we are in Salvador, capital of Bahia state!
We stayed few days in Salvador, but these days were delicious. We arrived here on Tuesday afternoon, after spending the day at Forte Beach, where we visited TAMAR Project (to protect sea turtles) and its nice village. At night we went to Mc Donald’s to have dinner, and the students were really happy because of this!!
Yesterday our day was dedicated to this beautiful and historical city. We had a historical tour visiting the most important sites as Senhor do Bonfim Church, Lacerda Elevator, São Francisco de Assis Church and Pelourinho Historical Center.
At night the students watched a great spectacle, considered by them one of the best cultural program of the entire trip: the “Bale Folclórico da Bahia (www.balefolcloricodabahia.com.br)!
Today we are going to Porto Seguro, the party city, and from where I will send more news.

Recife - Veneza Brasileira / Brazilian Venice

Boa Noite a todos os seguidores do Blog!!

Já estamos em Pernambuco!!! O tempo passa depressa e estamos quase na reta final da nossa viagem ao Nordeste.
Chegamos aqui em Recife ontem na hora do almoço, depois de uma rápida viagem desde Natal. Almoçamos em nosso hotel e saímos para Brasília Teimosa, uma comunidade carente da cidade de Recife, mas que é um exemplo de luta do povo nordestino. Tivemos uma agradável conversa com a líder comunitária, Sra. Zezé, e os estudantes conheceram as crianças do bairro, deram presentes e lembranças de seus países e lembrancinhas que eles compraram em Natal e aqui mesmo em Recife: foi muito proveitoso!!
À noite, tivemos o Show de Talentos: foi um SUCESSO!! Foram mais de 15 apresentações, musicas e danças típicas e muitas brincadeiras: foi uma noite bem especial!
Hoje acordamos cedo e seguimos até Olinda, onde fizemos um tour por esta bela e vibrante cidade. Almoçamos em um delicioso restaurante e na parte da tarde saímos para um citytour pela Veneza Brasileira, como o Recife é conhecido. Visitamos o Castelo de Ricardo Brennand e um pouco do Recife Antigo.
Terminamos o nosso domingo no Recife Shopping, o segundo maior shopping center do Brasil.
Amanhã cedo vamos partir para Porto de Galinhas, uma das mais lindas praias do Nordeste, à uma hora daqui.
No final da tarde, seguiremos para Salvador, BA, mas antes faremos um pernoite técnico em Aracaju para descansarmos, pois a viagem é muito longa até Salvador.

Good night all Blog followers!!

Today, I write from Pernambuco!!!! Time is running out and we are almost at the end of our Summer Trip.
We arrived here in Recife yesterday, at lunch time, after a quick trip from Natal.
Had lunch at the hotel and in the afternoon, we went to Brasilia Teimosa, a destitute community of Recife, but an example of nordestino’s (people who lives in the Northeast region of Brazil) fight for better conditions of life. After a chat with one of the community leaders (Mrs Zezé), the students were introduced to some children and could give to them gifts and souvenirs from their countries and also souvenirs that they bought here at the northeast trip: the visit was really great!!
The same day at noght we had the expected Talent show , and It was a totally SUCCESS!! We had more than 15 presentations, with lots of cultural songs and dances and lots of jokes: it was a really great night!
Today we visited Olinda, a really nice town where we had very pleasant moments. We had lunch at a delicious restaurant and then we went out to do a citytour through Recife, know as the Brazilian Venice. We visited Ricardo Brennand Institute (Castle) and a little of Old Recife.
We finished our day at Recife Shopping Mall, the second biggest one of Brasil.
We’re going tomorrow really early to Porto de Galinhas Beach, one of the nicest of the Northeast and one hour from here.
In the afternoon, we will travel to Salvador, BA. But before arriving, we will stop in Aracaju to spend the night, because the trip is too long up to the Bahia’s capital.
From there, I will send more news.

Natal/RN

Bom Dia!

Hoje escrevo do Rio Grande do Norte: estamos em Natal!
Chegamos aqui quinta-feira no início da tarde. Almoçamos e viemos diretamente para o nosso hotel!
À noite saímos para jantar em um shopping e logo após tivemos uma noite muito gostosa na beira da praia: um luau, com frutas tropicais, musica e muita dança!!Tivemos uma grande confraternização! Comemoramos também os aniversários da viagem: Danielle, Jill, Petra, Leonie, Carol, Kate, Simone, Sasha, Elisabeth, Victor, Phoebe, Jirateep e Trinidad e comemos um delicioso bolo de chocolate com Morango!!!!
Ontem acordamos por volta de 8 da manhã e às 9 e meia já estávamos saindo para conhecer o maior Cajueiro do mundo, em Pirangi do Norte. Em seguida curtimos bastante mais um dia de praia. A tarde, já de volta, tivemos tempo livre para ensaiar para o tão esperado show de talentos que vai ser hoje a noite, já em Recife!!!
Daqui a pouco seguiremos para Recife, e de lá, mando mais notícias.

Good Morning!!

Today, I write from Rio Grande do Norte: here we are, in Natal, capital city of the state .
We arrived here on Thursday, in the beginning of the afternoon. We had lunch and came straight to our hotel. At night, after dinner, we had an unforgettable evening by the sea: a beach party with tropical fruits, music and a lot of dancing! We had a great party and we celebrate the Danielle, Jill, Petra, Leonie, Carol, Kate, Simone, Sasha, Elisabeth, Victor, Phoebe, Jirateep and Trinidad! We ate a delicious chocolate and strawberry cake!!
Yesterday we woke up at 8 in the morning and at 9:30 we went out to visit the biggest cashew tree in the world, “Cajueiro de Pirangi”. After we stayed at Pirangi beach to enjoy the sun! In the afternoon, back to the hotel, we had free time to practice the numbers for the so much expected Talent Show, which will happen today (already in Recife)!!!
In a bit, right after breakfast, we will travel to Recife, from where I will send more news.

Bons Momentos/Great times

Fortaleza - Canoa Quebrada

Boa Noite!!!

Já faz um tempinho que não escrevo no blog...os dias foram bastante corridos!!
Estamos agora em Canoa Quebrada, antiga vila hippie que fica a 3 horas de Fortaleza. Ahhh Fortaleza...já estamos com saudade. Nossos passeios lá foram tão maravilhosos que com certeza essa cidade vai ficar na memória de todos. Lá fizemos o emocionante passeio de buggy nas dunas de Cumbuco, passamos o dia no Beach Park, onde todos tiveram a oportunidade (mas para alguns faltou coragem) de descer no mais alto (41 metros, altura de um prédio de 14 andares) toboágua do mundo (o Insano). Fomos também à Festa do Pirata, a segunda-feira mais louca do mundo, além de muitas, muitas compras na feirinha de Meirelles e no Mercado Municipal!
Hoje o dia está chuvoso, então aproveitamos para descansar, pois ainda temos muita viagem pela frente! Amanhã cedo partimos para Natal, capital do estado Rio Grande do Norte, e de lá mando mais notícias.

Good Night!!

It has been a little while that I don’t post anything… we had a lot to do!!
We are now in Canoa Quebrada, 3 hours from Fortaleza. Oh Fortaleza... we already miss it. Our tour there was awesome and this city will be part of our memories forever. We did the Buggy Ride in Cumbuco sand dunes and we spend one day at the Beach Park, where everybody had the chance (the brave ones!) to enjoy the Insano, the biggest water slide in the world (41 meters high, almost a 14 floors building). We also went to the Pirate Party, the craziest Monday in the world and we went shopping, a lot of shopping at Meirelles fair and the Municipal market!
Today is raining, so we decided to rest a little…we still have a long way ahead! Tomorrow morning we will continue our journey to Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte state. From there, I’ll send more news!
